Think about it, while you are camping you want to organize each space like you would at home. If you need something medical, it should be near or around the bathroom. If you are making dinner and need spices, they should be in the kitchen or near the cooking location.
The solution to being a happy camper and living life better while camping? Budget camping storage ideas!
Plus if you have a cleaner more organized camper you can rent it when you are not using it to make some extra money with RVshare.
1. Simple Bathroom Baskets
Found on Apartment Therapy
Check out these budget-friendly storage ideas. There are so many you can use for your own bathroom. The first one that catches my eye right away is the essential oils organizer. You can clearly see all of the oils easily and keeps them in a tight storage area.
2. Dollar Store Bins for Cutlery
Found on The Elm Life
These dollar store storage bins are really the best! Not only do I use them in my classroom, but I use them at home in almost all of my drawers. They are long and narrow and make it great to organize anything that will fit.
Those big, chunky silverware organizers might not fit in your camper or RV drawer because they are smaller. Use these bins to maximize your space.
Another camping hack, if you just need to bring the forks and knives to the picnic table it is so much easier than bringing over the entire kitchen drawer.
3. Magazine Racks on Cabinet Doors
Found on Good House Keeping
Brilliant! Make use of camping storage spaces that you would never think of using. The inside of a cabinet door, genius! Just make sure that you are able to still shut the door without disturbing anything in the interior cabinet.
Measure before you make anything permanent. Magazine holders are so versatile and I love them being used here for tall items that get used frequently while camping. You want to make sure you are not wasting food while camping.
4. Tension Rod with Clips
Found on The Happy Housie
When walking through the beauty department at the grocery store, it is crazy to think about all the different bottle styles that manufacturers use to sell their products.
This camping organization hack is great for those bottles like you see above. At home I normally buy the big plastic bottles, however, these are perfect to get off the shower storage or side of the shower and up hanging.
You are also getting the most of your money with this setup because you are using everything to the very last drop as gravity grabs all of the product. The rings used above are curtain rings so you know they are heavy-duty enough to hold up a shampoo bottle.
5. Lazy Susan in Cabinets
Found on Life Buzz
Lazy Susan’s are the perfect camping storage idea for small cabinet or spaces. You are able to load it up with different size bottles and bottles that might have weird shapes.
Give it a spin and you are able to see everything in front of you with one quick turn. You have to get a lazy susan with sides so nothing tips over while moving.
6. Hanging Wall Camping Storage Ideas
Found on Home Garden Magz
One of the most simple camping organization hacks is to make use of vertical space. Why keep this wall in the kitchen blank when you can maximize it! Ordering an organizer depends on the wall dimensions and what you are looking to organize in your space.
7. Closet Organizers
Found on RV Share
Wow, a storage compulsives dream camping solution method for the closet! Everything has a place. I love the idea of filling this closet with the plastic organizing drawers, so much better than hanging clothes and wasting all of that space below.
If you look closely enough, you can see the drawers are also all labeled. <3 #Organizingfreaksdream
8. Pegboard in Under Storage Walls Camping Organization Hack
Found on Glamper Love
I do not think I have seen anything more brilliant for camping storage ideas than the one above! First of all, can we talk about the floor of this storage cabinet! I love that they laid down like peel and stick flooring.
Makes it very easy to clean if something were to spill or leak. Then, to add to it, the pegboard on the side walls of the cabinet makes it perfect for all the necessary tools and equipment you need for your RV, truck, or around the campsite. Easy to grab and everything has a permanent location.
9. Corner Shower Shelf in Bathroom
Found on RV Inspiration
I know you have seen these before in the shower, but have you ever thought about using them out of the shower as a corner shelf in your camper!
Again, utilize space that you normally would not think of. This corner shower shelf they repurposed in the bathroom to hold a plant, toilet paper, and wipes. You could also use one in the kitchen for spices, napkins, and paper products.
10. Storage Containers for Health Supplies
Found on Life’s Simple Pleasures
Again with the labels! Let the hallelujah choir sing! These storage containers are the perfect size for camping organization of medical supplies.
You never know what you might come down with while camping and a drug store might not be an option that you could get to quickly. By looking at the outside of the boxes, you could quickly grab a band-aid container in time of need rather than digging through a box of stuff you brought.
11. Bottle Solution for Shower
Found on Amazon
Another shower or bottle solution storage idea that I could not pass up! We currently use them in our home shower and I thought to myself this is the best solution for camping if you have a trailer, fifth wheel or RV because you never have to worry about bottles left in the shower. Refill before your next trip with bottles you already have at home.
12. Build Additional Storage Space
Found on KHomes
A DIY camping storage idea that you can create for any extra space in your camper that you can build additional storage. On the side of their kitchen, they saw the potential to add additional storage that wasn’t originally there.
They built in a permanent camping storage solution for items that are used often.
13. Magnets for Spices and Knives
Found on Decoratio
The last camping space saver on my list is the use of the magnets as a storage solution. There is a magnetic strip on the back of the wall behind the stove to hold the knives. There are also magnets on the back of the spices to fixate to the wall mount. Both brilliant uses of space and will be good for traveling.
Camping is supposed to be a time to rest and relax. Why stress? Take the time to organize your camping items into better camping storage solutions. Your family will thank you and you will be thankful for yourself and the time you put in.
