Do you just love to drink liquor? Do you have a special preference or do you just chug any drink you get your hands on? Do you know that even alcohol can benefit your body significantly, only if you avoid bottoms up and consume it in a restrained manner?

So if you are planning on throwing a holiday party, getting together with friends, or just casually drinking after work it’s important to know the facts.

The following is a list of 7 popular types of liquor and the many benefits that they provide for regular consumption; yes you heard it right- you can drink daily:

1. Celebrate with Champagne

It is a type of sparkling wine which is produced from the grapes grown in the Champagne region of France, adhering to all the rules of the Champagne appellation required to manufacture sparkling wine which can be labeled as Champagne.

Dosage & Benefits- If you are planning to pop a bottle this weekend, then make sure you sip slowly because the gas from the bubbles speeds up the absorption of alcohol into the bloodstream.

One to three glasses of Champagne a week can improve your memory and delay the onset of degenerative brain disorders, like dementia, because it contains phenolic compounds which have brain-boosting benefits.

2. Get Your Drink on with Vodka

It is a distilled beverage which is composed of water and ethanol along with traces of impurities and flavorings. Traditionally, potatoes or cereal grains are distilled, but some brands also use sugar or fruits to add delicious flavors to the beverage.

Dosage & Benefits- It is the perfect option for a post-work party scene because it relieves stress and when added with cranberry juice, it also boosts creativity.

It is usually mixed with juices and other flavor-enhancers, so keep an eye on your consumption because it is observed that when the liquor amount is less than 1.5 fluid ounces, it is good for health; but if it is more, then hey, you’re drunk!

3. Beer Healthy or Not?

It is brewed from cereal grains, mostly malted barley, but maize, rice are also used. The fermentation of starch sugars produces ethanol and carbonation in the beer. Hops are also used to add bitterness and flavors to the beverage; also acting as a natural preservative and stabilizing agent.

Dosage & Benefits- If you plan to drink a couple of beers every day, then forget the benefits right away. You can also make delicious beer at home at very reasonable rates.

One to two beers every day will lower the risks of kidney stones, heart diseases, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. It also strengthens your bones; adding to the list of benefits of the world’s oldest and most consumed alcoholic drink.

4. Health Benefits of a Daily Glass of Wine

It is made from grapes, mostly Vitis vinifera, which is fermented without the addition of acids, sugars, water, enzymes and other nutrients. To convert the sugar of grapes to carbon dioxide and ethanol, Yeast is used. Different varieties of grapes produce different styles of wines.

Dosage & Benefits- Red wine limits the development and progression of atherosclerosis because it contains polyphenols (antioxidants) and wines, in general, also increases the HDL (good) cholesterol in the body. It is also the perfect beverage for a date with bae!

The advised limit is one to two glasses every day, but if you are planning to go all out, then be ready for the infamous hangover headache as well. One small suggestion would be to drink a sufficient amount of water all night to keep headaches at bay.

5.Health Benefits of Soothing Gin

It is the only liquor in this list which has been both, herbal medicine and liquor. The flavor is derived from juniper berries, and the name is derived (shortened) from the English word, genever, which is related to the Dutch word, jenever (an older Dutch liquor on which gin is based).

Dosage & Benefits- The piney flavor acts as a diuretic, which helps to release the extra salt and water from the body; making you feel less bloated. It is also full of healthy antioxidants, which block free radicals from doing damage to the cells.

Go easy on the liquor because it is full of calories and carbs, which will disrupt your amazing bod!

6. Health Benefits of Tasty Whiskey

This distilled alcoholic beverage is made from fermented grain mash. Different varieties are made from different grains (rye, barley, corn, and wheat); typically aged in wooden casks made of charred white oak. It is classified in many classes and types, depending on the fermentation of grains, wooden barrels, and distillation process.

Dosage & Benefits- It has similar benefits as wine, i.e. it also has polyphenols (antioxidants) and keeps the heart healthy. A hot whiskey drink is advisable for people suffering from cold (it will cure the symptoms, if not the disease).

The flavor increases with time, so you should also consume it slowly, unlike vodka shots. Limit the hard liquor to avail the fantastic benefits.

7. Liquor Benefits of Tequila

It is a regional distilled alcoholic drink, which is made from the blue agave plant. Tequila cannot be manufactured with any other type of agave plant (primarily grown in the city of Tequila).

Dosage & Benefits- Don’t show the world your crazy side! Tequila overdose tends to have that behavioral and emotional effects. Keep a check on those yummm shots to avoid shameful memories.

If the consumption is with limits, then tequila can help you a lot. Similar to gin, tequila also increases HDL cholesterol and all the other benefits that consumption of agave plants possess.

Drink Liquor in limits! But do make sure the night is filled with wonderful memories!
